When you have decided to enroll your child into WMSI, please follow the simple steps below to complete your child’s application procedure.

Application Process

Thank you for choosing WMSI for your child’s education. Please follow 3 easy steps to complete your child’s application process.

Step 1: APPLICATION

Print out and fill up the application form (download the APPLICATION FORM here). Submit the application form, along with the APPLICATION FEE and the necessary supporting documents listed below.

  • 1 Photocopy of Child’s Birth Certificate / Identity Card / MyKad / Passport
  • 1 Photocopy of each Parent’s / Guardian’s Identity Card / Passport / Working Visa
  • 1 Photocopy of Parent’s Marriage Certificate
  • 2 Recent Colour Passport-size Photographs of Child
  • 1 Photocopy of Child’s Previous / Current Academic Report / School Leaving Certificate
  • Medical / Vaccination Record of Child
  • 1 Photocopy of Child’s Visa (Applicable only to International Students)

You may submit the application form directly to the school office or email it to info@iph.wms.edu.my Please email using the same email if you have any questions or require any assistance.

You may bank in the application fee direct to the school account at 320-167-6225 Public Bank (WESLEY METHODIST SCHOOL IPOH INTERNATIONAL).

Step 2: ENTRANCE ASSESSMENT

Once we have received your child’s application, the school will schedule an Online / Onsite Entrance Assessment for your child. Parents will be notified within a week on the outcome. Successful E.A. applicants will undergo an interview with the principal/headmistress and this is for internal use only.

Step 3: ACCEPTANCE

Successful students will be issued an offer letter. Acceptance of the offer must be made within the specify timeline by making full payment as stipulated in the offer letter.

All fees can be paid via online banking (320-167-6225 Public Bank), cheque or cash. Cheque payable to WESLEY METHODIST SCHOOL IPOH INTERNATIONAL

Our school admission team will explain the school’s admission policy which will then requires a parent’s agreement and signature.

A letter for orientation and a booklist will be issued via email or by hand once the application process is completed.

Entrance Assessment

Students are required to sit for an assessment test for English, Mathematics, Science, and Bahasa Malaysia to determine their linguistics and comprehension skills.

The duration of the entrance assessment is between 30 minutes to an hour (per subject) depending on the level.

The school will indicate to the students in advance if the Entrance Assessment will be online or to be conducted in the School.

The assessment level is base on entry-level and the age of your child.

FAQ

When is the best time to start the application process if I am interested in the International School?

The international school term begins on 1 Sept thus it is recommended that parents submit their application as early as possible before the school term begins to avoid being rejected due to limited spaces.

When is the best time to start the application process if I am interested in the Private Secondary  School (Form 1)?

The private school term begins in early March thus it is recommended that parents submit their application as early as possible before the school term begins to avoid being rejected due to limited spaces.

May I still apply after the school term has begun?

You may still apply after the school term has begun however the school will consider each applicant on a case by case basis. For the international stream, the school may recommend that the student joins the fast-track programme at the start of January.
